Funny Face!!

Hi Papa,

Today, I went to Cascade Bay with Ozzie and Tyson. Guess what Papa? I went down the slide on an innertube with mama. It was so fun. Mama and I were on a double innertube and we went super fast. It was really dark inside the slide and we whipped around the corners so fast.

In the evening I rode my bike down to the waterfall's and showed mama where we fished. She could not believe that we sat on the edge of the pier. I think mama was a bit freaked out. I told her it was okay. Just chillin now with my grilled cheese and going to go to bed soon. I love you papa.

Hi Papa,

Wow, it's Friday. Thank goodness, huh! It sure has been a busy week. I really had fun at my tennis and swimming lesson's this week. I am going to have them all next week too. Watch out papa, I am really getting good at hitting the tennis ball. I can't wait to show you. Mama bought another racket so we have one you can use. Today, I went to the MOA with Jack and Colin. I went on some new rides and had a blast. Aunti Liz took us to a movie and dinner and than back for some more rides. Wow, what a day. Tomorrow is the big picnic and I cannot wait to ride the waves in Uncle John's boat.

Water Bug!

I had so much fun yesterday. I went to the Edina Pool with my cousin's Jack and Colin. You are not going to believe what I did. I went down a big water slide on an inner tube. It was so much fun. Mama took me a couple of times down the slide and than I went a bunch more times with Jack. I want to go there with you sometime. I know you would have so much fun there.

This morning I had another tennis lesson. I am really good at hitting the ball with my racket. I like playing tennis. After tennis, Aunti Liz came over today and we had lunch at Cossetta's. I had a piece of pizza. Yummy!

Mama mowed the grass tonight and it look's really nice. I think you do a better job papa, but don't tell mama that. :)

Hi Gooba,

What a busy day Papa. First, I had my second tennis lesson today and it was lot's of fun. I have two other friend's in my class. Their names are Mason and Kia. We practiced balancing the ball on our racket's today as we walked around the tennis court. I won Papa. I was the fastest to go around. Second, I got to see my cousin's Jack and Colin today. We went to see a movie today and I sat next to Colin. It was fun to see them both. Third, I rode my bike around with my other friend's at the block party. There were lot's of people who came. Two police officer's came and gave me some Twin's' Baseball card's. I will show you them when you get back. They are really cool. Last, I packed my big blue bin with stuff for Saturday's picnic. I can't wait to ride on Uncle John's boat. That's it Papa. I miss you and wanted to let you know what I did today. I hope you had a good day.

Bible Camp!!

Hi Papa,

Here is a video of me singing a song at Bible Camp. It was really fun and they served ice cream after church. I got to put a lot of candy sprinkles on mine. Yummy! I played tag with Will and Claire after. I can't wait to see you later Papa. Oh yeah, Papa there was a really huge dog at church. I could not believe how big he was. Take a look.

Hi Papa

I had so much fun with my cousins last weekend. Uncle Dave bought me my first fishing pole. I love it. I caught a lot of fish and want to go fishing with you when you get back. I am really good. I cannot wait to show you it. Dave also gave me some things to put in a tackle box. I thought we could go buy a tackle box together. The first night at the cabin I slept in the loft with all of my cousins. Mama was so proud of me. I also went swimming in the lake and there was a a really fun slide off of the dock. Tyler caught me when I went down it. I love you Papa and I am so excited to see you tomorrow night. (I think Mama might be a little more excited to see you.) :)

Gotta go Papa because Will is sleeping over and we are watching Monsters vs. Aliens. (and eating lot's of popcorn.)

Hi Gooba,

How are you? Today was pretty busy. Mama and I went to get the truck washed and than went to Angie's to play mini golf with Nana. I beat Mama. I am really good. Than we went to see Auntie Sue and Uncle John. I had a lot of fun running around with some other boy's there. Finally we went to Champps and had corn dog's with LeAnn. Mama was pretty tired and got a little cranky today. I hope she is in a better mood tomorrow because I am really excited to see my cousins. Can't wait to see you Papa.

A day at grandpa's!

Hi Papa,

Mama and I went to grandpa's and picked bean's and pea's today. It was really fun. I picked a lot of them and filled my bucket with them. Auntie Sara was there and Uncle Dave. Grandpa let us take some home with us and I even ate some cooked beans. They were pretty good. I hope you had a good day. I played with Dexter tonight while mama mowed the lawn. It looks pretty good papa. I miss you. Call me tomorrow okay.

Hi Papa Gooba,

It's me Evan. I wanted to let you know what mama and I did today. We went to the mall and I got to go on some really fun rides. My favorite was a new ride that I have never seen before. You go through these doors and it is dark inside and than you try to shoot some scary monster's with a play gun. It was really fun. Mama and I did it two times. Than I had a T-ball game tonight. I played really good and I hit the ball hard. I got to play first base and third base. I hope you like my pictures. Bowling

Hi Papa,

Today we went bowling. I was really good. I bowled a 30 the first game and a 50 the second game. And guess what papa, I got my first strike. Can you believe it. I was so happy. I really like bowling. Maybe we could go bowling again when I get back home.

Gold Canyon Lake Sat. Feb. 20

Hola Papa,

I went on a boat ride today. It was really neat. The boat was called, "Dolly". The canyon was really pretty to see. It is like the Jonathan Paddelford Boat at home. Some people saw some rams on the side of the cliffs, but I could not see them. After the boat ride we went to the Olive Garden for dinner. I love you papa.

Hollywood, CA-Thursday, Feb 18

Hi Gooba Papa,

Well, today is my last day in Los Angeles. Mama and Nana got a facial and a massage and Auntie Ann took me to Santa Monica Beach. We went on a Ferris Wheel, Roller Coaster and a Dragon Ride. I had a lot of fun. The roller coaster was the best. After the beach we went to a kinds of cool places. We saw Beverly Hills and Rodeo Drive. Than we went to Hollywood and looked at really neat homes. We followed a Hollywood Tour Bus and saw some fancy homes but we did not know who they belonged to. We were laughing trying to keep up with it. Than we saw the Sunset Strip where lot's of band's play. After that we went to see the Kodak Theater and the walk of stars. I have some pictures for you. Venice Beach, CA - Wed, Feb. 17

Hi Papa,

I wanted to let you know what I did today. We went to a really fun beach today called Venice Beach. I had a really fun time. There were a lot of people there and the weather was really warm. I got to play at the park with lot's of other kids and throw rocks into the ocean. The waves were really big. There were some people surfing but the water was too cold for me. I saw a lot of people doing funny things. Like dancing, doing tricks on a pogo stick and someone playing the piano. Mama told me it was a famous beach and they show it a lot in movies. It was fun. After the beach we went to dinner at my cousin Tom's house. His house was really nice. That what I did today Papa. I was really busy and now I am going to go to bed.

Evan Ertl's Big Adventure

Hi Papa,

How are you doing? I am off to visit Auntie Ann in LA today. My first big road trip in the car. The first picture is of me in the car at about 6:30 am. I was still really tired and wanted to keep sleeping but Mama said, we had to go! It did not take to long to get to LA because I slept for a little bit and than watched Spongebob on my DVD player. I was happy I got to watch movies because it made the time go a lot faster. When we got to Auntie Ann's she took us to a really cool Observatory. I think you would have really liked it Papa, but I could not really understand a lot of the stuff. The building was really tall and we got to walk on a path up a hill. That is the other picture of me. Writing my name in the sand with a stick.
